Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Ordinary days can feel long. Most of our week is made of small tasks, quiet choices, and the same routines again and again. Joshua 1:9 speaks to a leader who was about to step into a very big job. God does not ask Joshua to feel fearless. He calls him to stand firm, because the Lord is with him in every step. That promise matters on a Wednesday as much as on a big day. Fear shrinks when we remember who walks beside us. You do not have to carry the whole week by yourself. Start with one faithful step, pray a short prayer, and trust that God is present in the ordinary. If this verse stirs questions, take them to your pastor or a trusted friend in a local church. They can walk with you in person.
